  • Do I need snow chains for my vehicle?
    Maybe, please check with the weather service and Caltrans, but chains are highly recommended any time you are traveling in the mountains when it can snow or roads can become icy.

  • Is the drive to the Cabin curvy and difficult?
    Driving up the mountain is curvy, but easy to navigate.  Most of the way is a four lane highway and the remainder is an easy two lane road.

  • Do we need to bring our own food?
    Yes, the Cabin does not have a restaurant on-site, but there are plenty of restaurants and a Jensen's Finest Foods Supermarket close-by.

  • Will cooking be different at the higher elevation?
    Good question, as the Cabin is located at approximately a mile high in the atmosphere, so please read cooking instructions for higher elevations versus sea level.

  • Does the Cabin have pool cues for kids?
    Yes, there are pool cues in many sizes including kids.

  • Are there any snakes to worry about:
    We have never seen a snake by the Cabin, but always be careful when in the mountains with wildlife.

  • Is the cabin pet friendly?
    Yes, and there is a 4 foot high chain link fenced pet area adjacent to the Cabin.

  • Are pets allowed in the Cabin?
    Yes, but be mindful of any pet damage to the floors and furniture.  There is a pet deposit.

  • Are adult beverages allowed at the Cabin?
    Yes and a blender is available, but you will need to bring ice for your drinks.
